Initiatives

Mothers for Peace and Ecology

Led by MINE, the “Mothers for Peace and Ecology” project supports refugee women and their helpers through community workshops, trauma-sensitive leadership training, and the creation of eco-friendly mother centers. By combining empowerment, education, and environmental awareness, it fosters long-term partnerships and sustainable structures for peace and participation throughout the Danube region and Ukraine.

Understanding the 9 dimensions of a public living room

Support the supporters

In response to the war in Ukraine, this program empowers Mother Centers in neighboring countries to provide long-term, grassroots support for refugee families. By strengthening local structures, enabling self-help, and fostering community care, “Support the Supporters” uplifts both helpers and those seeking safety. A powerful example of resilience, solidarity, and care in action.

Resilience
through Care

This case study explores how the MINE network strengthened its international community of mother centers during times of global uncertainty. Through digital empowerment, storytelling formats like “Tell your Story”, and a series of interactive online meetings and training sessions, the project fostered resilience, visibility, and solidarity across borders.
It shows how care work, when made visible and shared, becomes a powerful foundation for community building and long-term change.

We had an amazing online event, celebrating the International Mother Centers’ Day on through Care on 10. October 2022.
If you could not join it, watch the recordings!

What makes the success and uniqueness of the mother centers? How can Mother Centers contribute to a more resilient and prosperous development by supporting mothers and families at local, regional, and worldwide levels?
